Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBTQ civil rights advocacy organization in the United States, with over 3 million members nationwide, endorsed Tom Malinowski in his race against incumbent Rep. Leonard Lance in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District.
“As a proven leader who stood up for our nation’s values on the world stage, Tom Malinowski is the clear choice for New Jersey’s fair-minded voters who want a representative who will fight for them here at home,” said JoDee Winterhof, HRC Senior Vice President for Policy and Political Affairs. “Tom Malinowski helped make LGBTQ equality a top priority of our foreign policy. From women’s rights to workers’ rights, Tom Malinowski will work each and every day in Congress for the people of New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District. HRC is proud to endorse Malinowski for Congress, and we look forward to working closely with him to advance fairness and equality for all Americans.”
“I look forward to partnering with the Human Rights Campaign to champion the rights and dignity of every American,” Malinowski said. “The Trump administration would expel transgender individuals from our military and pack the courts with judges who oppose marriage equality. We need new leaders in Congress who’ll defend the progress our country has made and keep us moving forward.”
Tom has been an advocate and ally to the LGBTQ community throughout his long career in public service.
