Lance Took $150K from Pharma Companies Blamed for NJ Opioid Crisis
Over the course of his career, Leonard Lance has accepted over $3 million in campaign contributions from corporate entities. He’s taken more than half a million dollars over the course of his career from pharmaceutical companies, $150,000 of which came from companies currently facing lawsuits from the state for their role in the opioid crisis.
Below is a full table of all the money Lance has received from these companies, the most recent receipt date, and when the companies had a lawsuit filed against them. Rows highlighted indicate that Lance received PAC money after a lawsuit began against the company for its role in the opioid crisis.
Lance received $154,000 from 13 companies being sued for predatory practices contributing to New Jersey’s opioid crisis. And of those 13 companies, he received contributions from seven after the lawsuit began.
“Lance boasts about his role in fighting New Jersey’s opioid crisis, all the while taking money from the same companies that perpetuate it,” said Malinowski Communications Dir Benji Schwartz.
